Carter's First Game

We went to a baseball game on Saturday. It was Carter's first baseball game. Our friends have really good season tickets to the Oakland A's, so we decided to take him before we moved. (Lexie never really wanted to go.) Oakland played Florida. Carter looked adorable decked out in his A's attire. He enjoyed looking around at all of the people until they all cheered at once. Apparently he's not a fan of thousands of people yelling and clapping all at one time.

My two handsome men in their green and gold.
I look cool with my hat on backwards.
The A's lost :-(

FYIs

1)Lexie will be spending most of the summer with her dad :-(
So, you will not be seeing much of her beautiful face on the blog the next couple of months.

2) I have a lot of blogging to catch up on, so the next few posts will probably not be in any particular order.

3) We are leaving Cali on June 29th and not moving in to our new house until July 7th, so I probably won't be blogging much during that time.

***Speaking of moving, I could use some help from my NWA friends. We have the most awesome church out here!! We LOVE it!!!! Could you all recommend some churches for us to try. We want a contemporary worship and a very good youth program for Lexie. We are wanting Lexie to make some really good friends BEFORE school starts, and we are hoping to find a great church to help her get started on the right foot. We are moving to Bentonville, so probably something close to that area.

Happy Anniversary!!

Today is our 2 year wedding anniversary. I am so lucky to have found the man of my dreams. These two years have gone very quickly, but it feels like Monte and I have always been together. He is my soul mate. We have the important stuff in common, but our personalities are different enough to keep it interesting.

I love you Monte, and I would marry you all over again!!

Two cats and a baby, the passengers you hate

We had to take Lexie back to Arkansas to be with her dad. We decided to go ahead and take the cats at the same time. We had two cats and a baby, so we were the passengers you hate to be stuck with on a plane. The vet gave us sedatives for the cats, so that helped. Monte and I flew back to Cali a few days later. We will be leaving permanently the end of June.

Tinker Bell was trying to bite through the carrier. She also tried to roll it a few times.

We have to do what?! Do you know how long it took us to get the cats IN the carriers?!
Security told us to take the cats out of the carriers and carry them through. Lucky Monte was wearing a black shirt and carried the white cat. Here is a pic of Lexie carrying Tink through.

Lexie LOVES to read, so we don't have to take the DVD player anymore. She read a very thick book on the trip to Arkansas. Her love of reading is amazing. Sometimes late at night I go in her room, and she is reading. I have to say,"Lex stop reading and go to sleep!" Then the next time I go in, I have to take the books away so she actually will go to sleep.

Party #2

Today's party was much calmer than last night's. Only a few kids were here, and we had a cookout. It was a nice day.

There's a Party Going On!

We are having one of Lexie's going away parties right now. (I have been banished from downstairs, that's why I get to do so much updating on the blog.) We are having another party tomorrow. We decided to have two, so we would not have a huge number of kids here at one time. It sounds like they are having fun. I run half way down the stairs and snap a picture occasionally.

Look at the look Lexie is giving me! I was under strict orders not to embarrass her. I guess taking pictures is embarrassing. I explained to her that she would want them for her blog, and then she was okay with it.

This is Cristian. He is hilarious!! We are going to miss him a lot. If you are ever feeling down, just talk to Cristian and you are guaranteed to be in a good mood.

Carter's BFF

Here are a couple of pictures of who Carter spends his days with. I was fortunate enough to find a lady that wanted to do a nanny share. I highly recommend a nanny share for the people who have to work. It is a 1:2 ratio, and it's cheaper than a personal nanny. Carter has formed a very close bond with the nanny (Ana). Ana is wonderful!! I feed Carter every day at lunch, and I also get to spend this time visiting with Ana. She has really turned into a friend. Today when I handed Carter to her, he gave her a huge smile. She really loves him also. We are going to miss her when we move. I will get at picture of her and Carter to post.

This is Isabella. She shares Ana with Carter. She just turned 7 months old. She is adorable! The camera angle makes her look bigger than she is. (Monte loves the pink Bumbo.)

Carter says, "Hey, can I have those keys?"

"Okay, I guess I will just play with this doll then."

This is Ana's son Rey. She brings him occasionally. Her sister usually keeps him during the day. He is so much fun! I love it when she brings him. He is around 20 months old. Es muy guapo! (He is very handsome!)

Lexie's Spring Concert

Wednesday night was Lexie's Spring Chorus Concert. They sang songs from popular musicals right now. It was great!! The chorus and orchestra are VERY talented. Too bad they didn't sing songs from Legally Blond the Musical, Lexie has those down pat. She could have done the show all by herself. --I know because she does it for me every day! :-) She should be on Broadway!!
