Happy Easter

This picture was hard to get. Lexie refused to wear the bunny ears, but I won. (It only cost me $10!) I convinced Lexie that no one would see her with the ears on. When she finally put them on, I snapped this picture. We immediately heard a little kid say, "Hey mom, there are bunnies over there." It was so funny. I died laughing, and Lexie threw the ears very far. I think she hates me at the moment. At least I got one good picture with the ears on!

Crazy Day

Monte left this morning to take a load of stuff to Arkansas. We will meet him there on Saturday. (In case I haven't' told you, we are moving back to Arkansas in June.) We were clearing out the house so it would show better, and Monte decided to go ahead and move some of the stuff now. He had some friends come over Saturday and help him load the big stuff and the stuff in storage onto the moving truck. Then we boxed up more, and he finished loading it this morning. Let's all pray that he has a safe trip. I know he travels a lot, but I still worry about him driving by himself. Luckily, we will have movers do the next load.
Where am I supposed to put all of this?!

A job well done. You can tell Monte played Tetris growing up. Everything is securely jammed into the truck. (He did get the stuff on the ground in also.)

"My daddy is so funny!"
Carter was laughing at daddy before he had to leave.

It was "Crazy Hair Day" at Lexie's school today.
She's so crazy!

Carter and I went to Gymboree today. He loves tummy time on the mirror. He doesn't look at himself yet, but he likes to watch the balls spin on the mirror. He also liked looking at the girl across from him. He spent most of tummy time staring at her. He had to hold himself at a 90 degree angle to see her, so I guess it was good exercise for him.

Carter Meets the Easter Bunny

Mommy said she's taking me to see the Easter Bunny.

I am so excited, I can hardly stand it!! She said he is going to bring me a basket of goodies on Sunday.

So this is what an Easter Bunny is? I think I need a nap.

Two Month Birthday

Carter turned two months old on March 7th. I can't believe he is already two months!! I packed up the clothes he has already grown out of. It made me so sad. I actually cried as I put them away.
He is getting really fun. He has started making noises when he laughs. He has also discovered his voice, and he loves to test me. I will be doing something, and he will let out this high pitched yell. When I look at him, he just smiles at me. It is so funny. It is getting harder for Monte to leave for work in the mornings because Carter loves to laugh and smile at Monte in the mornings. It is so cute. I have decided to leave a camera by the bed, so hopefully I can catch a picture of them playing in the mornings.
Carter had his check up. He is doing really well. He is 22 inches long and weighs 11 pounds 6 1/2 ounces. His head circumference and height are both in the 20th percentile, but his weight is in the 90th percentile. (Momma makes good milk!!) At his check up, he rolled over from tummy to back a few times. He rolled over several more times over the weekend.

This was before he got his immunizations. He slept a lot the day he had his shots, but after that he was in a great mood. I think it was harder on me than it was on him.

"I weigh how much?!"

Chubby legs

We went to the city on Saturday with my parents. (I will post more of those pictures later.)

The end of basketball season

Saturday was Lexie's last basketball game of the season. I am sad that it is over. It was so much fun! She had a great group of girls on her team this year. She made some really good friends. She LOVED going to practice because she had so much fun with the girls. During break times, she would teach the girls line dances. I hope we get on a fun team next season.

Most of Lexie's basketball team.

She shoots!

The end of season party. Lexie is giving her "rock on" sign. She has recently started doing this all of the time!

The busy lives of Lexie and Carter

Lexie went to Snow Camp with the church youth group last weekend. They went to Sierra Pines which is by Tahoe. She had a blast! I had to keep myself busy, so I wouldn't drive myself crazy worrying about her. I think I drove her nuts before she left. You know how moms are, "Make sure you do this." and "Make sure you do that."

I will post pictures from camp once I find her camera.
Here is a link to a video they made.

beginning- Lexie is bobbing for marshmallows in milk.
4:20- Lexie wipes out on the snow tube.
5:14- The "No Talent Talent Show." A spotlight on Lexie's flexibility.

Carter and I went to the park last Friday. It was his first trip to the park. The weather was really nice.

The weather was awesome this week. I took Carter out in the convertible on Tuesday. I thought he would really like it because he loves the sunshine. We just went around the block going 5 miles per hour. I didn't think he would like the wind blowing in his face, and I was too scared to take him on the real road with the top down just in case we had an accident. (I worry about car accidents more now than I used to.)

Carter loves taking a bath. He really likes to kick and move in the water. My mom gave him a bath last night, so I took a bunch of pictures.

Do you think he gets enough to eat? He's kind of skinny.

Tummy time
Carter does a really good job of holding up his head. He is very strong. I took this picture at the end of tummy time. He put is head down, and looked up at me like "I'm tired mommy."

In this picture you can see how his hair is changing colors. It is turning an auburn color. I love it! I have to pay someone to put red in my hair, and he gets it for free. Thanks Monte!
