SURPRISE!!

WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!

If you read this before June 1st, do not tell mom, dad, Jim, or Deanna. They will not find out until Thursday night. We are surprising them with balloons.

I think something is going around because I know A LOT of pregnant people right now. It seems like there is going to be a new baby every month or two. I went to the doctor today, and I got to see the heartbeat. I think she said it was 137 beats per minute. (I could be wrong though.) My due date is January 14th, so I don't get to go home for Christmas :-( For those of you who have seen me (or pictures of me), I am not showing yet. I am just fat! So if you are saying, "I thought she looked pregnant." You are right, I look it. But, I can't blame anything on the baby yet. The baby is less than a centimeter long (so my "showing" is just my fat). So far the pregnancy has been great. I haven't had morning sickness, and I have not been tired. I have actually had more energy than normal. I was never sick with Lexie, so hopefully that will be true this time around.

Lexie's Reaction

"The baby" got Lexie a card stating it can't wait to meet its big sister. It also included a picture. It took her a couple of seconds to figure it out. She kept reading the card aloud with a very confused tone. The first picture of her is of the second she figured it out. The second one is of her reaction when I told her she was correct. She is excited. She wants a little sister. She is doing a great job of keeping it a secret. Unfortunately, she can't tell her friends until I tell the other teachers and principal (one draw back to working where she goes to school), and I won't tell the people I work with until I get out of the danger zone. Lexie will be a huge help. She is so good with babies and little kids.

Little Blue Boxes

See what Lexie got me for Mother's Day. She has great taste!! I think she may have had a little help ;-) Tulips are my favorite flower. They are really beautiful, and they are potted so I can plant them. The heart lock is a charm for my bracelet or for a necklace. The other box is Pure Tiffany perfume (from Monte). I just love little blue boxes!!!

Road Trip

Dan and I took a road trip from San Jose down to LA and back to San Ramon (and San Francisco). We got to drive back up Highway 1 (along the coast) it was great! The view was awesome. I even saw one of the scenes from our drive in a commercial. That was cool! We stopped in Malibu and had Starbucks. (We were Malibu Ken and Barbie.) I finally got to go to Haight-Ashbury. I have wanted to go there since my hippy days in high school. I realized I am not as much of a hippy as I thought. The people in the Haight are real hippies! Here are a few pictures. We had a good time!

1) Dan driving on Highway 1.

2) Dan at Haight-Ashbury.

3) Dan and I at Pier 39.

4) Dan giving Lexie a piggy back ride. (With Dan in town, Monte's back got a break!)

Guess what?

I think the picture in the upper left corner is pretty self explanitory!
