We had a wonderful Spring Break and Easter. We got to see many of our family and friends. It made us more excited about moving back to Arkansas, so we can socialize more often with everyone. (There are not many pictures of Lexie because she was with her dad's family most of the time.) Carter finally got to meet his family. My parents and little brother were the only family he had met until Easter. He loved them all!
The plane ride to Arkansas. God was looking out for us. (As He always is.) I was very nervous about flying with an infant. We ended up getting upgraded to first class from San Jose to Chicago. It was great because we were on the first row, so we had plenty of room. Carter did great for that part of the trip. He didn't like the flight from Chicago to XNA though. (He's already high maintenance. He doesn't like coach.) Our first flight was delayed, so we didn't have a very long layover. Carter missed his chill out and lay on the floor time, so he was a bit overstimulated for the second part of the flight. Later in the week we flew to Cincinnati for Rodger's birthday, and Carter did great on those flights. He also did great on the flight back to California. We have figured out to schedule long enough of a layover for him to just chill out.
The Easter Bunny brought me goodies. I am so excited!!
Finally, we meet! My sister and I have been counting down the days until we could finally hold each other's babies. I was supposed to get to see Lydia when she was a couple of weeks old, but then I had the car accident and couldn't travel. She is a very smiley baby!! It felt so good to finally get to hold her. This was also the first time my sister got to see Carter (in person). He looks very comfortable in her arms.
Aunt Angie and Uncle Jared meet Carter. (We have them to thank for finally getting Monte and I together, so I guess we also have them to thank for Carter.)
My nephew Wyatt and my brother Dan. Dan and Carter have something in common: they were both born in California.
Lydia is enjoying her jumper. She is so pretty!
Hi Grandma Deanna! I have been waiting to meet you.
Hi Grandpa! I have heard a lot about you.
Catching up on kisses!
Carter loves being held by his grandpa. He also liked to grab his pens.
This is my little brother Matt, his fiance Lynn, and Colin. They are getting married April 26th. I am so excited to have Lynn and Colin in our family. She is great!! The first time I talked to her, I felt like I had known her forever. Colin is adorable! I can't wait to get to know them even better.
My grandma Shirley and Carter. I am sure she will teach him how to bake cookies. She is a great cook. I really missed her stuffing at Thanksgiving!!
My nephew Harrison. He is a very sweet boy!
My nieces Kalin and Katherine and my nephew Wyatt are hunting Easter eggs. Lexie is really excited about getting to spend more time with them and Zane when she moves back.
The boys playing Wii. The boy in the white shirt is my nephew Zane. Unfortunately out of all the pictures I took, I didn't get any of his face. :-(
Three generations of Moore boys. I wonder if Carter will marry a teacher also!
This is my uncle James and Carter. He is an awesome uncle. I think he is the most patient person I have ever met!
Lexie and her newest siblings. Brooklyn on the left and Carter on the right. Brooklyn was born March 10th. It is hard to tell in this picture, but she is much smaller than Carter. I am sure Lexie's step mom was happy to have Lexie there to help with the baby. Lexie has been a great help to me!
Carter's cousin Cadence. She is going to get a little brother in August. I am sure she will be a great big sister!
Carter loved Monte's parents' cats.
He loved squeezing this balloon. I think he liked the noise it made. We also discovered on this trip that Carter is definitely a morning person. He is in a great mood in the morning, but don't keep him up too late!!
My parents and Carter.
Sitting pretty.
This is Anna. She is so cute! She is very vocal. She "talked" the whole time we were there. I have been waiting a long time to see her also. Monte, Lexie, and I were going to fly up to Cincinnati on our way to Arkansas for Thanksgiving to see Rodger, Laura, Aidan, and Anna... you know the rest.
Carter meets Uncle Rodger. Happy Birthday Rodger!
Aidan is doing the new pointy finger dance he just learned. He was so cute. When I was taking a picture of the babies, he would sit in front of the camera and say, "Cheese!" He kept us laughing the whole time. He is talking really well.
Monte and June. She is Christy's daughter. She is precious and very feminine. She would give Monte five, but it was very dainty. I had a great time hanging out with Christy. It was wonderful getting to know her better. I can't wait until we live closer together!
Carter and Aunt Laura. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend as much time with Rodger and Laura as would have liked. Hopefully we can see them more once we move to Arkansas because it will be a shorter flight.
The three amigos: Aidan, Anna, and Carter.
