First Anniversary

Monte and I just celebrated our 1st anniversary!!! We went to Vegas for a few days. It was so much fun! We saw Ray Romano from Everybody Loves Raymond. He was very funny. We also saw Cirque du Soleil's LOVE. Monte loves Cirque and I love the Beatles, so it was a great show for us. This was my first time seeing any Cirque show. It was amazing! God must have given those people extra muscles or something. Plus, they could move their bodies in all sorts of twisted ways. If you are ever in Vegas, go see LOVE.

I can't believe we have already been married a year. It has gone by so fast. While we were in Vegas, we were talking about how a year ago we were in the Bahamas right now or St. Thomas. Then the thought occurred to me that not many people have seen our wedding pictures because we moved right after the wedding. So here are a few wedding pictures. (Lexie sure has changed over the past year!)

Monte, Rodger (Monte's brother), Harrison (my nephew),

and Jared (my brother-in-law and Monte's best friend)

Our families---They all came to the Bahamas

to see us get married. What great families!

Getting Ready Pictures

Monte and Lexie in First Class on the way to
the Bahamas. (They left me in coach. I thought
the bride was supposed to be the one pampered!)

THE practical joke. This was the wedding day, and Monte
and I are not supposed to see each other until the wedding
right. I told him where I would be so he knew to stay away
from that part of the hotel and beach. Well, Rodger puts on
Monte's shirt, hat, and sunglasses and starts walking toward
me. I am freaking out!! My mom throws a towel on my head,
puts me in a headlock, and rushes me down the stairs. (I bet the
people at the pool thought I was a celebrity.) She almost broke
my nose. Then when he gets closer, we realize it was Rodger
just trying to be funny.

mine, but hers had straps. She is
absolutely beautiful!

Our new family playing in the sand. (The photographer

was taking a close up picture of our hands. Then

she zoomed out and took this.) This is one of my

favorite pictures. It is all over our house.

We had to go through a casino to get to our reception.

The lights in the background are slot machines.

Cutting the cake. We froze the top.

We ate it in Vegas, and it was

still delicious.

Bowling Party

To celebrate the end of 5th grade, Lexie had a bowling party with a few friends. They had a great time! Monte and I bowled on the lane next to them. He beat me both times. I don't know which girl had the high score, and I don't think they do either. They were more concerned with how cute they looked rolling the ball than actually knocking anything down. It was so funny! I think Monte was about to go crazy!! You see... we were on a lane between our girls and a group of boys. The girls got really loud and giggly. They would cheer even if they got a gutter ball. Everyone in the bowling alley could hear them. (I don't' know where Lex got it. I wasn't like that.--But my mom says differently.) It was a great way to end the school year.

Lexie's musical

Lexie had her last drama performance of the school year last weekend. She had a few different roles in the musical Once on this Island, Jr. It was very good. They worked ver hard on it. Rehearsals started in January. They practiced every day for 20-30 minutes during school, every Thursday after school for 2 hours, and on a couple of Saturdays. Her drama teacher is very good with the kids. He is in a lot of plays in the area, and he teaches the kids how to be professional. I am glad Lexie was able to be a part of this. She really enjoyed it. Here are a few pictures.

1) Lexie helping Daniel off the stage. (He wasn't really hurt.)

2) Lexie and the rest of the "Rich Group" giving the "Peasant Girl" a dirty look. How dare she think she can marry a rich man!

3)Lexie and a few of her friends at the after party.

4) Lexie slapping Tonton, the dad of the Peasant Girl. (This was her favorite part.)
